2 WEEK OBEDIENCE CAMP
(under 6 months old)
This program is a basic leash manners program. It is meant to give a new puppy owner a good head start on basic manners on the leash. If your puppy’s antics are driving you crazy we can help! Your puppy will stay with us at our state-of-the-art facility for a minimum of 14 days. During their stay, we will work on jumping, pulling, play biting, sitting politely when greeting someone, and all the other crazy things puppies do that are completely natural to them but totally foreign to humans.
They will be taught the following commands: Heel with an auto sit, sit, free, place. They will also understand that the word “NO” means what they are doing at the moment they hear it is wrong.

3 WEEK OBEDIENCE CAMP
Designed for owners who would like their dogs to be more compatible with THEIR lifestyle rather than the other way around. The candidates are owners with busy households, with people coming and going and those who like to take their dog with them when they leave the house.
Your dog will stay at camp for a minimum of 21 days. During this time, your dog will be taught the following commands: heel, automatic sit, sit and down at the side, sit and down in motion, sit and down from the front, come and place. These are all taught on-leash with training done indoors for about the first 2 weeks. We also work on manners such as pulling, jumping, play biting, bolting through doors and counter surfing. The third week of training we are taking your dog or puppy on as many field trips as possible. We take them to stores, parks, trails, hikes, town walks and various other places. The goal of these trips is to make sure your dog is socialized and listening in as many environments as possible. This also gives them a chance to practice their skills in real-life situations. We also introduce a Dogtra electronic collar during this program. When an E-collar is introduced properly, and professionally with just enough to be effective it is a great tool for reinforcing commands and correcting unwanted behaviors.
Training for the owner normally consists of three lessons. The first is 2 video lessons viewed online with a password you will receive when you drop your dog off. The videos will teach you proper leash handling techniques, proper use of commands, when to praise and when not to praise, how dogs think and learn, how to work through behavioral problems, and other techniques needed to reinforce what your dog has learned. The second lesson is the day your dog goes home. In this lesson, you will get to hear how your dog did in their program and actually start working with your dog under the trainer’s supervision. The third lesson is a follow-up to check on progress and to work on any problem areas you may need help with. All of our obedience camps include unlimited lifetime private lessons. This program fee also includes a Dogtra E-collar.

4 WEEK OBEDIENCE CAMP
Designed for those who want complete control of their dog, both on- and off-leash. Whether you have a hunting dog and you want off-leash control in the woods, or a family pet walking in the park, this program will give you better control. This is a more advanced program.
Your dog will be taught the same commands as the three week program. This program includes a Dogtra electronic collar. You will be given your collar and trained on its proper use at your first follow-up lesson. Electronic collars work great to reinforce something a dog already knows but are not good to teach with. Your dog will be introduced to the collar in the third week of training in a way that is very gradual and not harmful. All of our programs have unlimited follow-up lessons for the life of the dog. The owner’s first lesson is given when you pick up your dog. This obedience camp includes an unlimited lifetime of private lessons.
With all our programs, the owner must work at home to change patterns and habits for themselves as instructed by the trainer. Remember, the dog is not the only one being trained.

6 WEEK OBEDIENCE CAMP
This is our newest and most advanced program. This is for both the overachiever and the severe problem dog. This program gives our certified trainers the extra time to skillfully work through extreme behavioral problems that take more time than your average canine behavior. But it is also for the owner who wants to take their dog to a level of control that they only ever dreamed of or saw in the movies!
If you are a person who wants your dog to listen anywhere or anytime this is the program for you. Or if you are a person who thinks your dog can’t be fixed or have been told they can’t be fixed because of aggression or fear or any other severe behavioral issues this could be your answer. Call us and see if your dog would be a candidate for this program.
This program consists of everything that is in our 3 & 4 week programs with the addition of more controlled focus field trips and more off leash training for those dogs who qualify.
